Ca’Bianca, meaning “White House” in the northern Italian dialect, is owned and operated by Marco Diana and his wife Karin Hoehne. Marco & Karin both have a wealth of experience within the restaurant industry, ranging from San Francisco’s Fairmont Hotel to a neighborhood bistro & bakery in Noe Valley.
The restaurant is a true labor of love, together Marco & Karin passionately restored the historic Marshall House back to its once proud glory. The former home contains elegant dining rooms, beautiful shaded patios, subtly painted frescoes, crystal chandeliers, delicately carved moldings that adorn the ceiling, and lush gardens that just add a bit more charm to the impressive property.
Ca Bianca’s cuisine is a blend from multiple regions of Italy, from Milano in the north to Sicilia in the south. Our delicious array of tantalizing dishes include house-made pasta and bread, perfectly cooked steaks, seafood classics, creative antipasti, garden fresh salads, and of course, rich desserts. Ca’Bianca is a treasure of warmth and charm in the heart of Santa Rosa.
Ca’Bianca's home is the charming and historic Santa Rosa setting The Marshall House. James Marshall, a true Californian pioneer, built the home in 1876.
Throughout the late Nineteenth & early Twentieth centuries the home was a noted gathering place of prominent Santa Rosa residents.
The Marshall family owned and maintained the home until 1963 when family friend Harriet Watson purchased the property. Harriet made sure that the house maintained its structural and design integrity, retaining many of its original fixtures such as the ceramic fireplaces, stained glass, and crystal chandeliers.
The home is now owned and operated by Marco & Karin, who have brought the Marshall House to its current splendor with a thorough and recently completed renovation.
